Baby has a kitty

Matthew has become such a mommy's boy. It seems he can't sleep well unless he is laying on, near, or next to me. I am very much enjoying the cuddle time, but am growing increasingly concerned that he will have major issues when I return to work. I'm thinking maybe I've found a solution.....I've heard of dogs taking on litters of kittens, but I'm not sure how it works for a cat to take on a baby (especially a male cat!). Leo just LOVES to be around the baby.

Dominic's Haircut

As you may be able to see in the photo of Joshua and Matthew, Joshua got a "buzz" cut like daddy last week. Dominic also got his hair cut. Isn't he a handsome 2 1/2 (almost 3) year old?

Joshua and Matthew

I had to share this adorable photo of Joshua and Matthew. It seems like every time I turn around, Joshua has removed his youngest brother from the swing, carseat, or bed and is carrying him around. He dotes on his baby brother and LOVES to play the role of big brother!

Goopy Eye on the Big Guy

Just call the Riggio family the pink eye family! Yes, once again, the ever contagious "goopy eye" (as we call it) struck the smallest member of our family yesterday. Undoubtedly he was the victim of a 2 year old's stray hand in big brother Dominic's class. After a quick visit to the doctor, we are well on our way to recovery.......except we passed the yuck onto Dominic this morning. The only excitement during our trip to the doc was the visit to the baby scale........Matthew weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs, 9 oz and 23 1/2 inches long. My how he is growing!

Jazzercise

If you are looking for an exercise program, allow me to highly recommend Jazzercise. I took a friend up on her offer to attend one class with her and now I'm hooked. I must admit that I am not the most coordinated person, but I'm slowly figuring out all the dance moves....and losing the baby weight at the same time. While I am off work, I am able to attend classes 6 days a week, and it's REALLY inexpensive. Take a look at the jazzercise website, www.jazzercise.com, to see if there are classes offered in your area.

Where did the boys go?

So Jim and I are relaxing in the house when we realize that it is way too quiet. We raced through the house looking for the boys (Joshua and Dominic) and they are no where to be found. Low and behold, they were on a flower hunting expedition in the backyard....not good. Needless to say they are now in the bath and will be going to bed shortly after that. Shame on them for making mommy and daddy worry. I still have no clue how they got outside. There must be a secret door to the outside world somewhere in my house.

Matthew Jacob at 6 weeks

It's unbelievable how fast time flies when you have an infant in your home. After nearly 8 weeks off work, I'm still struggling to complete any of the tasks on my to do list. I did, however, find time to take Matthew for his 6 week photos. My, my, what a cute baby he has turned out to be!
