Yesterday was Joshua's day! On Thursday's, I volunteer in his classroom which is a treat for him. I very much enjoy helping the 1st graders with their school work, and especially enjoy watching how independent Josh is in his classroom. He works so well on his own and is very quiet (unlike he is at home with his brothers). As with every Thursday, Josh was sad to see me leave. Since this week is parent teacher conference week, he gets out at 12:30 every day. After running my errands, I decided to pick him up early from YMCA and let him help decorate for Halloween. He was SOOO excited!
Joshua climbed the ladder into the attic with me and helped me rummage through all of our holiday decorations and then helped me pull everything out of the boxes. He set up the inflatable spider all by himself and positioned it perfectly on the front porch. Words cannot express how proud I am of him nor how sad I am that he is growing up all too quick!

- Jim and I have been married for 11 years and have 3 sons; Joshua is 10, Dominic is 7, and Matthew is 5. I am currently training to be an Insurance Agent and Jim is a Fire Captain for Cal Fire. Our lives are wild and crazy but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Joshua - 10 years old
Its hard to believe that Joshua is a 5th grader. His favorite subject in school is math and as for the rest he could do without. He enjoys playing with his friends, acing Wii, XBOX, and Ninetndo DS games, and loves playing baseball with his dad. This year is on the Diamond Backs and toggles between 1st base, 3rd base, and pitcher. We are so very proud of the young man he is growing up to be.
Dominic - 7 years old
Look out world! Dominic is our wild and crazy middle child. Our lives would certainly not be the same without this little spitfire in our house. He is opinionated and a bit on the ornery side, but is a bundle of joy in our crazy household. He is passionate about everything and calls attention to himself with his silliness. Watch out, girls, this one is going to break some hearts! We love you, buddy!
Matthew - 5 years old
Matthew, aka Matty Moose, is our sweet, loving, and adorable "almost" Kindergartner. He is the baby of the family and is spoiled rotten (and he knows it). He desires to be 10 just like his big brother and is a future baseball star for sure. What a true blessing he is to our family with his big heart and passion for life. Look out Old River Elementary; this little charmer is ready to tackle full day school in August.
Gandalf
Gandalf is our 7 year old Aussie who joined our family in 2011. He was a welcome addition to our family and has proven to be a true "Riggio." After several bouts of destruction in our Paso Robles home, he has settled in just fine in Bakersfield. He has a myriad of nick names and loves being around everyone. He is quite like a person rather than a dog and we all love him!
Harrison
Harrison joined our family in October 2011. "Harry" enjoys being the center of everything and is the most curious cat I've ever met. He is definitely a mama's boy. This little guy has completely stolen my heart.
Graycie
Graycie is the newest addition to our family and found us in July 2012. When Matthew told me "everyone needs a home" I had no choice but to load her up and bring her home. Her favorite spot is in the window sill as she loves watching the birds and basking in the sun. She is a big sweetheart and absolutely LOVES Jim.
