Whew...believe it or not this week flew by rather quickly. Thank goodness for Jim and the pre-planned vacation he had this week. Not only did I save $150 on YMCA with Joshua home, but Jim was here to tend to the little one who was sent home from daycare two days and forced to stay home two others. After two trips to the Pediatrician and $40 in co-pays, there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. Basically, she told me (through Jim) to "lighten up." Now some of you might be offended by this, but I absolutely LOVE our Pediatrician. She has two young boys and seems to be rather fond of our family as well. Needless to say, the mysterious fever is finally gone, for good I hope, and Matthew will be returning to daycare today so that Jim can spend a little quality time with Joshua. They did have time to visit the waterpark on Wednesday for a few hours before Matthew was sent home so at least the week wasn't a complete waste for both of them.
I had a meeting in Bakersfield on Wednesday along with an Unemployment hearing....yes, I'm pretty sure that one is in the bag. The former employee opted to tell a third story to the judge, which contradicted both her written statement to the EDD and the statements given during our internal investigation. I will be shocked if we lose this one! Following the all day meeting with my managers, it was girls night out! The ladies from work and my boss took the opportunity of visiting Buck Owen's Crystal Palace. After several bottles of wine and a little dancing we closed down the place at 10pm. Yes, I'm still amazed they close so early. We returned to the hotel where my co-workers were staying and visited for 30 mins or so when I finally felt the true effect of the evenings festivities. I awoke at 4am in my co-worker Megan's hotel room. I will spare you the details, but yesterday I was wishing I could have a "do-over" of the previous night to avoid the way I felt all day yesterday. I very rarely drink more than a glass of wine so my body was pretty darn upset with me. It makes me wonder how the heck people drink every single night and are happy to do so.
As I sit here typing, Matthew is sharing his Pop-Tart with Angie, our dog. He takes the liberty of chewing up bites and then removes them from his mouth and hands them to the dog. Of course she doesn't mind, and it's actually kinda cute.
More to come but it's now time to hop in the shower and prepare for one last day of work before two days off.

I do not understand how you and I felt so awful and Julie and Cindy were fine all day. Needless to say it was a great time had by all.
